Abstract

Title:Bending of composite beams with asymmetrical cross-section
Abstract:
Composite beams greatly reduce the mass of the supporting structure with the same or even improved load capacity. The most commonly used form is a symmetric composite structure. In this work we dealt with stress-strain states in beams with an asymmetrical composite cross-section. The first chapter presents the approach to solving single symmetric composite beams. In the second part, we deduced theory for solving beams of an asymmetric composite cross-section, and verified our method for solving and results by comparing them to the results of an isotropic pure bending and single symmetric pure bending. We applied the same method to solving composite beam, made of more than two materials.
