Abstract
Pri metodi končnih elementov je za kvalitetno napoved odziva izdelka na obremenitev oziroma za določanje njegove življenjske dobe ključnega pomena kakovost mreže končnih elementov. Preučevanje vpliva kvalitete mreže končnih elementov je bilo izvedeno na primeru upogiba tankih plošč. S pomočjo primerjave teoretičnih in numeričnih rezultatov je bil prikazan vpliv nekaterih kriterijev. Uporabljeni kriteriji so bili: razmerje stranic, asimetričnost in koničnost. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je med obravnavanimi kriteriji za rezultat najbolj neugodna kombinacija razmerja stranic in asimetričnosti.

Title:The imapct o the quality of surface finite elements on the results of the bending of a thin plate
Abstract:
In the finite element method, the quality of the finite element mesh is crucial for accurate prediction of a product response to a load, or for determining its lifetime. The influence of finite element mesh quality was studied on the example of a thin plate bending. By comparing the theoretical and numerical results, the influence of some quality criteria was shown. The following criteria were used: aspect ratio, skewness and taper. It was found that, among the selected criteria, a combination of aspect ratio and skewness was least favourable for the results.
