Abstract
Turbinski pokrov Kaplanove turbine je osrednji in eden najpomembnejših konstrukcijskih delov turbine. Njegova naloga je prenašati vse zunanje obremenitve, ki se izvajajo pod različnimi obremenitvenimi pogoji. V začetnih poglavjih so predstavljene teoretične osnove hidroenergetskih strojev, v nadaljevanju pa teorijo podkrepimo z analitičnimi preračuni. Izračune nato izvedemo še z metodo končnih elementov, s tem pa lahko analitično pridobljene rezultate primerjamo z numeričnimi. Sledi poglavje optimiziranje turbinskega pokrova, v katerem so prikazane različne alternative k izboljšavi in dodelavi omenjenega problema. V zadnjem delu diplomske naloge so predstavljeni zaključki in smernice za nadaljnje delo.

Title:Strength analysis of a turbine cover plate
Abstract:
Kaplan turbine’s cover plate is the central and one of the essential parts of the turbine. Its task is to transfer all external loads, which are carried out under different load conditions. In the introductory chapters, the theoretical fundamentals of hydropower machines are presented. In the following sections, the theory is supported by analytical calculations. The calculations are performed using the finite elements method so that the analytically obtained results can be compared with numerically obtained ones. Then follows a chapter on optimisation of the turbine’s cover plate, featuring various alternatives for improving and completing the problem. The final part of the thesis presents conclusions and guidelines for further work.
