V Kiševem svetu: Književnost kot sredstvo za osmišljanje smrti

Pričujoče diplomsko delo je osredotočeno na literarno-filozofsko analizo dveh proznih del Danila Kiša (1935-1989), Grobnice za Borisa Davidoviča (1976) in Enciklopedije mrtvih (1983), z obzirom na dve osrednji temi omenjenih del: temo zla in temo smrti. Tematizirana je tudi usmerjenost Kiševe literature k ideji večnosti, ki jo je kot pisatelj artikuliral v obliki knjige kot spomenika umrlim, pisateljevi poetični principi in njegovi splošni pogledi na književnost, zlo, življenje in smrt.

• Title: In Kiš's World: Literature as an asset for giving meaning to death

Abstract

This Bachelor thesis focus on literary-philosophical analysis of two prose works by Danilo Kiš (1935-1989), A Tomb for Boris Davidovich (1976) and The Encyclopedia of the Dead (1983), in regard to two main themes represented in these works: theme of evil and theme of death. Thesis also talk about orientation of Kiš's literature towards the idea of eternity, orientation which was articulated with his conception of a book as a monument for the death. The work also does not avoid talking about Kiš's poetical principles and his general views on literature, evil, life and death.
