Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem se osredotočila na turizem in turistično fotografijo. V prvem delu diplomskega dela sem prek turistične fotografije raziskovala naravo in vedenje turista ter njegovo uporabo fotografskega medija. Zanimal me je vpliv turističnega pogleda na fotografsko vedenje, ki se kaže v ponavljajočih se, neizvirnih, neindividualnih in zaigranih turističnih fotografijah turistov pred znamenitostmi. Prek zgodovine in razvoja turizma ter vernakularne fotografije sem izluščila značilnosti turističnih fotografij in razvoj turista kot fotografa. Temo sem raziskovala tudi s pomočjo analiz fotografij fotografov, ki se ukvarjajo s podobnimi vsebinami. Drugi del naloge pa sem namenila analizi praktičnega dela, ki razlaga izbiro teme in začetne ideje projekta. V nadaljevanju sem pojasnila metode dela in predstavila rezultate. Končni izdelek lahko razumemo kot hibrid med turističnim vodnikom in družinskim fotoalbumom. Namen interaktivnega vodnika, ki nas prek izmišljenih znamenitosti vodi po mestu, je kritika naivnega človekovega vedenja, ki slepo sledi in ponavlja za drugimi, hkrati pa ima občutek individualizma in originalnosti.

Title:The phenomenon of tourist photography
Abstract:
The focus of my BA thesis is mostly on tourism and tourist photography. I explored the nature and tourist behaviour through tourist photography and his use of photographic medium. I was interested in how the tourist gaze affects photographic behaviour, resulting in repetitive, unoriginal, common and performed photos of tourists in front of tourist attractions. Through the history and evolution of tourism and vernacular photography I extracted the main characteristics of tourist images and the evolution of the tourist itself as a photographer. I also investigated the topic through analysis of other photographers, dealing with a similar content. The second part I dedicated to analysis of the practical work, which explains why this topic was chosen and the beginning ideas for the project, continuing with the methodology and concluding results. The final project can be perceived as a combination of tourist guide and the family photo album. The intentions of the interactive book, guiding us through made-up attractions is to criticize the na?ve touristic nature, following everything that is told, copying others, while at the same time believing in its individuality and uniqueness.
