Abstract
S pridobljeno ustrezno pedagoško izobrazbo lahko geograf poučuje poleg geografije še nekatere druge predmete v osnovnih in srednjih šolah. Primer takega predmeta je tudi strokovni modul Meteorologija in oceanografija, ki je del strokovnega programa Plovbni tehnik. V magistrskem delu želimo raziskati možnosti za uporabo geografske metode poučevanja pri tem predmetu. Poudarek je na praktičnem pouku, delu strokovnega modula, ki je v osnovi podoben terenskemu in kabinetnemu delu, ki ga izvajamo pri geografiji, zato smo pripravili terenske in kabinetne vaje v skladu s kurikularno dokumentacijo predmeta. Pregledali smo relevantno literaturo, iz katere smo črpali teoretično osnovo za vaje. Didaktično so vaje osnovane na principu geografskega in terenskega dela in na sodobnih pedagoških priporočilih formativnega spremljanja. Želeli smo oblikovati vaje, ki jih je možno izvesti pri vseh predmetih, povezanih z meteorologijo in oceanografijo, tudi pri pouku geografije. Vaje smo izvedli v učilnici z dijaki tretjega letnika programa Plovbni tehnik. Po izvedbi smo naredili evalvacijo in samoevalvacijo opravljenega dela, ki sta pokazali, da so vaje primerne za aktivno uporabo pri pouku. Pri dijakih smo lahko skozi leto spremljali razvoj njihovih sposobnosti pri praktičnem delu. Pozitiven odziv dijakov, doseženi učni cilji in pridobljene kompetence so spodbuda za učitelje geografije pri vključitvi terenskih in kabinetnih komponent v pouk geografije in ostalih predmetov.

Title:Professional bases for the execution of Meteorological and Oceanographic laboratory and field exercises in the Secondary School Deck officer trainee Program
Abstract:
Geographer with completed pedagogical studies is qualified for the work of a teacher school for several subjects at various educational levels (namely elementary school and high school). One of these subjects is Meteorology and oceanography, which is a part of curriculum in Navigation officer program. In the following master thesis we have studied the opportunities for implementation of geographic didactic method in teaching subject Meteorology and oceanography. We have emphasized practical education, similar to field and cabinet work that is often used when teaching geography. The field and cabinet work was prepared in accordance with relevant curricular documentation. Theoretical basis for the lessons was acquired from specialized literature. The didactical method used is composed of the geographical method, frequently used field work method and modern pedagogical principle – formative assessment. Our aim was to prepare practical exercises, relevant for all subjects connected with meteorological or oceanographic topics. The prepared lessons were given to the 3rd year students, and evaluated after execution. The results of the evaluation have shown that the practical lessons are suitable for intended use in school. Positive feedback of the students as well as reached learning objectives, encourage geography teachers to include field and cabinet work into their programs.
