In my diploma work I made an automatic measuring environment, which is designed for testing communication terminals in the verification stage of production. It is designed to establish multiple connections between two communication terminals to find possible errors, that might appear during long operation.
Goal of the environment is to simulate a terminal user as best as possible. To establish the connection between two terminals a robotic arm is used. After its first initialization the robot can constantly place calls between terminals.
Successful connection is then tested with audibility test. Besides that, environment also calculates delay of the transferred sound or image in case of video calls.
Final results allow users to analyze long-term terminal operation and detect errors, which would be impossible to find with manual testing.
