„Starke Frauen“ in ausgewählten Novellen des 19. Jahrhunderts/“Močne ženske” v izbrani novelistiki 19. stoletja

Cilj diplomskega dela je prikazati, da obstajajo literarna besedila, ki prikazujejo kontrastno podobo žensk. V 19. stoletju je bila vloga žensk v družbi pasivna, omejena na vlogo hčere, matere in žene. V ospredju dela sta dve vprašanji: „Ali so ženske v obravnavanih novelah tipična podoba ženske v 19. stoletju?“ in „Katere posebne značilnosti imajo ženske v obravnavanih novelah?“ Rezultat raziskave kaže podobnosti realnih žensk v 19. stoletju in žensk v obravnavanih literarnih delih. Izsledki, zajeti v tem diplomskem delu, so rezultat teoretičnega raziskovanja na osnovi primarne in sekundarne literature ter spletnih virov.

• Title: “Strong Women” in Selected Novellas in the 19. Century

Abstract

The main goal of this thesis is to show that there are literary texts that offer a contrasting image of women. The 19th century women’s role in society was passive, she was portrayed only as a mother and a wife of a man. There are two main questions in this research: “Are the researched women in the novels a typical representation of the 19th century women?” and “What are the special features that the women in the chosen novels have?” The result of my thesis portrays the similarities of the19th century women from the real life and the women in the chosen literature. The results included in this thesis are the result of a theoretical research based on primary and secondary literature and internet sources.
