Abstract
Na delovnih mestih je veliko žensk in čedalje več je družin, v katerih sta zaposlena oba starša, kar vpliva na več težav pri usklajevanju družinskega in poklicnega življenja. Za učinkovito reševanje te problematike se morajo truditi delodajalci oziroma organizacije, država in zaposleni sami. Namen diplomskega dela je bil raziskati področje usklajevanja poklicnega in družinskega življenja, ugotoviti, kolikšna je vloga države, delodajalcev in zaposlenih pri tem, ter predstaviti certifikat Družini prijazno podjetje. Raziskava je bila izvedena z metodo anketiranja v treh organizacijah: e-Študentski servis, Zavarovalnica Triglav in Lidl. Cilj je bil ugotoviti, ali je usklajevanje poklicnega in družinskega življenja za zaposlene obremenjujoče, na katerih področjih so sprejeti ukrepi certifikata Družini prijazno podjetje ter ali se zaposleni strinjajo, da so se z uvedbo certifikata Družini prijazno podjetje zgodile pozitivne spremembe. Izsledki raziskave kažejo na splošno zadovoljstvo s spremembami, ki jih je prinesel certifikat. Mnenja sodelujočih so enotna, in sicer, da so spremembe v organizacijah po uvedbi certifikata pozitivne. Področja, ki bi potrebovala izboljšave, so omogočanje dela na daljavo, prilagodljive oblike dela, pogovori s socialnimi delavci, počitnice za otroke in obešanje posterjev s tematiko usklajevanja družine in dela.

Title:COMPARISON OF BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY LIFE IN SELECTED SLOVENIAN ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract:
Nowadays there's a major increase of women in the workplace and there are more and more families in which both of the parents are working. Those two reasons are making balancing family and work life a pressing issue. To solve this problem there have to be efforts from businesses, state and workers themselves. The goal of this thesis was to research the topic of balancing work and family life and to determine the part of state, businesses and workers in the efficient balancing of those two areas. The thesis also presented certificate "Family Friendly Company". The research was conducted with questionnaires in three different companies: e-Študentski servis, Zavarovalnica Triglav in Lidl. The main goal of research was to determine if the balancing of family and work is difficult for the workers and to point out the areas which were changed by the certificate and to see if workers agree that there were positive changes brought by the certificate. The results of this thesis are that workers think of balancing work and family life as a quite difficult task, but there’s a noticeable agreement that Family Friendly Company certificate brought positive changes into the organisation. There’s a room for improvement though, especially in the areas of flexible work time, communication with social workers, children’s vacations.
