Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je preoblikovanje oziroma posodobitev tiskanih, promocijskih materialov za podjetje Belvedere Resort. Logotip, ki je že zelo prepoznaven, in druge uradne tiskovine, kot so vizitke, kuverte in dopisni listi, ostajajo nespremenjeni. Tiskani mediji ostajajo še vedno najbolj priljubljeno sredstvo za širjenje informacij, saj lahko brošuro, zgibanko ali cenik vzamemo s seboj in pregledamo ob katerikoli priložnosti. Zato so se v omenjenem podjetju odločili za investicijo v prenovo podob v upanju, da bodo pritegnili nove goste. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene osnove likovne teorije – likovne prvine in likovne spremenljivke, katere upoštevamo tudi pri oblikovanju. Kompozicijska načela so ključnega pomena tako pri oblikovanju kot pri fotografijah, ki so najpomembnejši del brošure. Razlika je v tem, da pri oblikovanju lahko poljubno premikamo elemente, pri fotografiji pa so elementi statični in lahko kompozicijo spremenimo le tako, da se premikamo mi. V praktičnem delu so opisana uporabljena orodja za fotografijo, digitalne kamere in grafično oblikovanje ter računalniški programi. Na kratko so prikazani podjetje, s katerim sodelujemo in razlaga nove podobe – izbor barv, tipografije, formata, zgiba, papirja ipd. Sledi še razprava, kjer je predstavljen postopek dela, skupaj z raznimi popravki besedila, zamenjava fotografij in tipografije ter postavitev. Pomembno se nam je zdelo razložiti, zakaj je prišlo do nekaterih težav oziroma sprememb. V zaključku se osredotočimo na rezultate opravljenega dela.

Title:The analysis and upgrade of printed material for Belvedere resort
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to redesign and to modernize printed, promotional materials for the company Belvedere Resort. The logo, that is already very recognizable, and the other official printings such as business cards, envelops and corresponding paper will remain unchanged. Printed media remains the most popular means for spreading information, as we can take the brochure, price list or other materials with us and check it out elsewhere. That is the main reason why they decided to invest in the new design in hope of attracting new potential guests. Fundamentals of art theory are introduced in the theoretical part such as art elements and variables that we should also consider in graphic design. Composition is key as much for graphic design as for photography, which is the main part of the brochure. The difference between the two is that for the first we can reposition and move the elements, in photography the elements of the composition are static, we can partially change the composition as we move around. Digital cameras and programs used for graphic design are introduced in the practical part of the thesis. The company, which I am collaborating with, is presented alongside the analysis of the former brochures and a presentation and explanations of the new design – the selection of new colors, typography, format, chosen fold, paper etc. At the end is presented the method, procedure of realization and a discussion about different corrections of text, photography and typography replacements. We also explained why such modifications occurred. In the conclusion we concentrate on discussing the obtained results.
