In the Master’s thesis, Planning and visual concept of an application for project management, a visual design was created for project managing, intended for designers and all individuals, who are faced with project management. The thesis covers the definition of the project, the plan of the project and design work, the development of mobile applications for the mobile phone and the main principles that are essential for the successful design of applications for the mobile phone. Two studies were performed; an analysis of existing applications and an analysis of potential users’ expectations. The first analysis included five applications and was based on the parameters that were used to test the current projects in each application separately. The second analysis was conducted with the help of a questionnaire in a specific target group and provided key information about potential users’ expectations. The results of the research have shown that there is not yet a graphically perfected and easy to use free tool for individuals who would like to have a clear overview of their work. Based on the obtained findings of the analysis of existing applications and user expectations, an application was designed, which, as a result of a carefully planned information architecture and information structure within the individual screens, would provide the user with good user experience. The emphasis of design was on a minimalistic design. The created product enables quick switching between the individual functions of the application and provides a clear overview of all existing projects and those that are being implemented, the overview of costs during realization and earnings, the ability to measure work time, storing customer contacts, reminders for meetings, and the overview of the portfolio.
