Abstract
V tem diplomskem delu je predstavljena implementacija sistema senzorjev v obstoječ nadzorni sistem proizvodnje linije jekla. Natančneje, gre za nadzor obratovanja vodne črpalke in njene funkcije hlajenja škarij za rezanje vročega jekla s pomočjo merjenja tlaka, temperature in vodnega pretoka. Najprej so na kratko opisani senzorji in splošno predstavljeno podjetje. V drugem poglavju je opisano, kako je potekal izbor projekta izmed vseh podanih potencialnih projektov v podjetju z razlogi in utemeljitvami. Tretje poglavje govori o problemu, zaradi katerega je bil ta projekt sprva sploh izveden, vplivu kavitacije in potrebnih veličinah za merjenje, nad katerimi se bo izvajal nadzor. Sledi poglavje, ki podrobno opiše vse uporabljene senzorje, aktuatorje in module krmilnika ter njihov izbor. Naslednje poglavje govori o opremi projekta, tako strojni kot programski, njunih fazah načrtovanja in izvedbe ter časovni konstanti sistema. Zatem je opisana integracija sistema v obstoječ sistem in izdelava uporabniškega vmesnika za operatersko sobo. Na koncu so predstavljena testiranja, med drugim tudi testiranje s frekvenčnim pretvornikom, njegov vpliv ter smiselnost potencialnega nakupa le tega za podjetje.

Title:Sensor system for control of cooling the shear for cutting material on the production line
Abstract:
The thesis adresses the implementation of a sensor system into an existing steel production line control system. Moreover, it is a control of a water pump functionality and its function of cooling the shear for cutting hot steel with help of measuring pressure, temperature and water flow. Firstly, it shortly describes the sensors and the company overall. The second chapter presents how the project selection between all the potential projects given in the company was done along with the reasons and justifications. The third chapter talks about the problem, which was the reason this project was even made in the first place. It also talks about the affect if cavitation and all the necessary quantities to be measured and monitored. It is followed by a chapter which describes the sensors, actuators and modules used more in detail along with how were they selected. The next chapter talks about the project equipment, both machine as well as software, their planning processes and the time constant of the system. The chapter after that describes the intergration of the system into the existing system and the design of a graphical user interface for the operator room. Finally, the testings are presented along with the testing of frequency converter, his affection and relevance of the potential purchase for the company.
