Celestina v telesu in duši: medicinsko znanje v tragikomediji Fernanda de Rojasa

V tej magistrski nalogi bomo analizirali odlomke iz Celestine, ki najbolj izstopajo po svoji pomembnosti v medicini. Svoje delo bomo osredotočili na lik srednjeveške čarovnice kot poznavalke zdravil za različne bolezni, od katerih se nekatera uporabljajo v medicini še danes, druga pa ne. V kratkem pregledu elementov zgodovine medicine, ki odsevajo v tem delu in v delih drugih avtorjev, ki so vplivali na Fernanda de Rojasa vse od starega veka pa do njegovega časa, bomo obravnavali vidike, kot so farmakologija, poznavanje anatomije ženske v srednjem veku in bolezen ljubezni, znana tudi kot aegritudo amoris, in njeno zdravljenje.

Abstract

In the present master's thesis, passages from La Celestina, which stand out due to their relevance in medicine, will be analyzed. Our paper will emphasize the figure of the medieval sorceress as an expert in remedies for different diseases, some of which still have a place in medicine but others do not anymore. After a brief tour through the elements of the history of medicine reflected in the work and the various authors who influenced Fernando de Rojas from the antiquity to his time, we will also analyze aspects such as pharmacology, the knowledge of women’s anatomy in the Middle Ages, and lovesickness, also known as aegritudo amoris, and its cure.
