Abstract

Abstract:
Properly built websites enable users to find information without disturbances, and gives them a friendly user experience with its interface. At a point of the construction phase of websites, authors must keep in mind the potential users that it will be built for. Potential users can be very diverse. One of the groups are people with disabilities, in which we include blind and visually impaired people. The blind and visually impaired have the same information needs as the sighted, but they need access to information in a way that suites their needs. Accessibility on websites can be accomplished if the websites follow the Web content accessibility guidelines 2.0 that have become an international standard for creating universally accessible web products. In this study we have evaluated and compared four websites that are meant for the blind and visually impaired. That websites are KSS, ZDSSS, Rikoss and Dostopno. The method of study was expert study. Despite the assumption that all websites will have no mistakes, it has become clear that all four have to make some changes to improve accessibility for the blind and visually impaired users.
