Abstract
V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjamo s problematiko obstoječega dvopasovnega krožnega križišča v Murski Soboti. Obravnavano dvopasovno krožno križišče ima manjšo pretočnost od pričakovane in več konfliktnih točk oz. konfliktnih odsekov, kot bi si jih želeli. Ker stremimo k večji pretočnosti in zmanjšanemu številu konfliktnih točk, smo v nadaljevanju diplomske naloge predstavili probleme in predlagali rekonstrukcijo obstoječega stanja. Rekonstrukcijo smo predlagali s pomočjo kapacitetne analize, ki smo jo naredili v Excelovem programu. Problem v tem delu mesta se pojavlja predvsem v jutranjih in popoldanskih konicah, ko je gostota prometa največja. Ob tem se kaže predvsem slaba zasnova izbranega dvopasovnega krožnega križišča v povezavi s križišči v bližnji okolici omenjene lokacije. Predstavili smo pomanjkljivosti, ki jih vsebuje izbrano krožno križišče ter dva predloga za izboljšanje obravnavanega krožnega križišča, kjer smo stremeli predvsem k temu, da se obstoječega krožnega križišča ne bi preveč spreminjalo in da bi bil finančni vložek čim manjši, krožno križišče pa bolj funkcionalno in pravilno izvedeno.

Title:The analysis of a specific roundabout in Murska Sobota and the proposal for its improvement : graduation thesis
Abstract:
In this undergraduate thesis we deal with a problematic of the actual two-lane roundabout in Murska Sobota. The defined two-lane roundabout has lower traffic flow capacity than expected and more conflict points i.e., conflict lanes than one would wish for. Since we strive for better traffic flow capacity and to lower the number of conflict points we have, further on in the undergraduate thesis, introduced issues and proposed a reconstruction of the actual state of the roundabout. The reconstruction has been proposed on the basis of capacity analysis which has been made in the Excel. The reappearing issue in this part of town mainly occurs in the morning or afternoon traffic rush hours when the density of the traffic is at its peak. Then, mainly the bad basis of specific roundabout in connection with the cross roads in the vicinity of the defined location comes to light. Based on that we have introduced two proposals to improve the specific roundabout at which point we have strived towards that that the changes of the actual roundabout are at the minimum, that the financial investment would be at its lowest and that the roundabout would be more functional and the procedures accurately carried out.
