Abstract
Podatke smo analizirali s programoma Microsoft Excel 2013 in IBM SPSS 23. Pri opisnih spremenljivkah smo izračunali frekvenčno porazdelitev in jih predstavili v frekvencah (f), frekvenčnih deležih (f(%)) in kumulativnih frekvencah (F(%)). Ordinalnim številskim spremenljivkam smo izračunali povprečja, mediane, standardne odklone ter največje in najmanjše vrednosti. Primerjavo med spoloma v stopenjskih odgovorih izbranega motiva smo izračunali z Mann-Whitney rang testom. Rezultate smo predstavili v tabelah. Ti motivi so bili povezani z doživljanjem novih izkušenj in s spoznavanjem novih ljudi, s preživljanjem prostega časa v naravi in s spoznavanjem novih krajev in kulture.

Title:Surfing as an active holiday
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis was to present surfing as active holidays and to study the reasons for choosing that kind of holidays. We have researched various sources and opinions about active holidays in general and specifically about surfing. For this purpose, a poll was carried out among 100 participants of the surf school Surf2Smile in Portugal. The findings have shown us the main motives for participating in active holidays with surfing content. We have gathered data about the manner and importance of sports activities in their leisure time and holidays and evaluated their feelings during surfing. Data were processed by Microsoft Excel 2013 and IBM SPSS 23. The frequency distribution was calculated and presented in frequencies (f), frequency ratios (f (%)) and cumulative frequencies (F (%)). The mean, the median, the standard deviations, the highest and the lowest value was calculated to the ordinal numerical variables. We have used the Mann-Whitney test to compare gender on step-by-step responses of the selected motive and presented the results through tables. After analyzing all the data, it has been found out that such active holidays with surfing content are suitable and have a positive impact on the individual. The motives presented in the research have reached a high level of importance. Three motives were more important for women than for men. These motives were associated with the new experiences and getting to know new people, with spending free time in nature and learning about new places and cultures. Participants involved in the research were very active in sports even before these active holidays with surfing content. As expected, it is very likely that they would choose such holidays again.
