V diplomski nalogi sem obravnavala cerkev sv. Andreja, ki stoji v Šaleku pri Velenju. Preučila sem zgodovino nastanka cerkve, spreminjanje same arhitekture in njene opreme. Podrobneje so opisani tako posamezni dekorativni elementi, kot tudi oltarji cerkve. Posebna pozornost je posvečena nastanku cerkve, predvsem pa razvoju njene notranje opreme. Ugotovila sem, da je cerkev sv. Andreja celostno zelo dobro dodelana ter kot taka sodi v sam vrh zgodovinske in umetnostne dediščine Šaleške doline. Cerkev sv. Andreja predstavlja enega izmed vrhuncev arhitekturnega izražanja v tem prostoru v obdobju na prelomu med gotiko ter renesanso.

Abstract

The subject of my thesis is the church of St. Andrej, located in Salek in the vicinity of Velenje. I have studied the history of the church, both its exterior and interior. The individual art pieces are examined in detail, as are the church altars. Attention is also given to the architectural development of the church, as well as the development of the interior pieces. In conclusion, the Church of St. Andrew as a whole can be considered as a refined work of art, and as such belongs at the top of the historical and artistic heritage of the Salek Valley. Furthermore, the church St. Andrej represents the pinnacle of architectural expression of the period, created in the break of the Gothic and the Renaissance.
