Abstract

Title:Elementary school students' conceptions about the classification of mammals
Abstract:
We looked into with our part, if pupils recognized different kind of mammals and which kinds problems are occurring at naming and classification at. We checked their knowledge on mammals with the test of knowledge at pupils of 6th to 9th class. We analyzed got data with program for statistical data processing (SPSS). We concentrated on occurrence of differences among boys and girls at this, among differently old pupils and those, that have or that don’t have the contact with nature. We gained results like this: girls are recognizing mammals better as boys, pupils living in a town, are recognize mammals better as pupils living on a countryside and that pupils, that go as those, that don’t go to nature, are recognizing mammals better. At answering or claims are correct to mammals concerning kids, if it wasn’t showed next: pupils of 9th class have most knowledge, pupils 7th class are answering claims also well in comparison to pupils on 8th and pupils 6th class, and that pupils living in a town have more knowledge as pupils living on a countryside.
