Abstract
Uvod: Svetovna populacija ljudi se v današnjem času drastično stara. Zaradi visokega odstotka starejših odraslih se tudi prevalenca bolečine v križu med starejšimi odraslimi hitro veča. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je na osnovi pregleda literature predstaviti prevalenco, vzroke za nastanek in dejavnike tveganja za nastanek bolečine v križu pri starejših odraslih. Metode dela: Izhodišče za preučitev izbrane teme je bil pregled domače in tuje strokovne ter znanstvene literature, ki smo jo iskali v podatkovnih bazah Cobiss, Google učenjak, PEDro, Cochrane Libary, Medline, Science Direkt in ročno v Centralni medicinski knjižnici, knjižnici Zdravstvene fakultete v Ljubljani in knjižnici Fakultete za šport. Uporabili smo slovensko in angleško strokovno literaturo, ki obravnava bolečino v križu in dejavnike tveganja za nastanek bolečine v križu pri starejših odraslih. Rezultati: Kot najpogostejše vzroke za bolečino v križu pri starejših odraslih literatura navaja degeneracije medvretenčnih ploščic, osteoporotične zlome, skoliotične spremembe hrbtenice in nespecifične vzroke, redkeje pa vnetne spremembe in tumorje. Dejavniki tveganja za nastanek bolečine v starosti so: spremenjeno doživljanje bolečine v starosti, ženski spol, mehanske obremenitve hrbtenice in celega telesa v preteklosti ter telesna dejavnost posameznika. Razprava in zaključek: Zaradi vse večje obolevnosti za bolečino v križu je pomembno poznavanje dejavnikov tveganja in vzrokov za njen nastanek. Na nekatere starostne procese, ki lahko vplivajo na bolečino v križu, nimamo vpliva.

Title:Risk factors for the development of low back pain in older adults : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: The world's population of people today is drastically growing old. Due to the high percentage of older adults, the prevalence of low back pain in older adults is rising rapidly as well. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to present the prevalence, causes of the formation and risk factors for the development of low back pain in older adults based on literature review. Methods: The starting point for the study of the selected topic was a review of domestic and foreign professional and scientific literature. It was searched for professional and scientific literature in the Cobiss database, Google Učenjak, PEDro, Cochrane Libary, Medline, Science Direkt, and manually in the Central Medical Library, the Library of the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana and the Library of the Faculty of Sports. The used Slovenian and English professional literature deals low back pain in older adults and risk factors for the development of it. Results: The most common causes of low back pain in older adults, according to the literature, are degeneration of intervertebral discs, osteoporotic fractures, scoliotic changes of the spine and non-specific causes, and infrequently inflammatory changes and tumors. The risk factors for the development of low back pain in older adults are changed experience of pain in old age, female sex, mechanical load of the spine and whole body in the past and physical activity of the individual. Discussion and conclusion: Due to the increasing pain in the low back, it is important to know the risk factors and the causes for its development. One has no influence on some age-related processes that can affect pain in the low back.
