Abstract

Title:
User interface and user experience
Abstract:
Today it is hard to imagine an idea that would not already exist in form of a web or mobile solution. For a successful appearance of our product on the market, a good user experience is decisive. More and more developers develop products independently or in smaller agile groups, therefore knowledge of basic human perception, evaluation and usability testing methods, latest technology and modern design trends are not only important for designers of user experience, but also for software developers. Good communication and coordination between them are crucial for efficient development and the quality of the final product. In the diploma thesis, I describe how human perceptions work and what basic guidelines and instructions for designing computer interfaces have been developed based on its capabilities and limitations. For the development of useful interfaces, testing among users is of key importance; therefore, I define advantages, disadvantages and some tools of selected methods for product and user testing that can quickly, cheap and without much experience, increase the usability of interfaces. On the basis of modern online presentations, in the latter part, I analyze the design trends and the latest commonly used technologies.
