In my graduation thesis I deal with energy condition of Cerknica municipal building. The building is located in the centre of Cerknica and in it is the headquaters of Cerknica municipality which is also the owner of the building. The building is classified as heritage protected building, which means that according to the Energy Code it is one of the exceptions. Because it is a public building and public buildings should be an example to others, mayor of the municipality ordered the production of a measured Energy Certificate. That is why I in the beginning of my graduation thesis deal with Energy Code, in compliance with it an Energy Certificate was created. After that, I deal with the existing energy condition of building and the data, which was necessary for calculating energy balance. For the calculation with program Energija 2014 I use calculation method. This metod is based on the »Pravilnik o učinkoviti rabi energije v stavbah«. The following is a commentary of results and a comparison of the results obtained with already existed energy certificate and searching the causes for differences between them. In conclusion I propose two energy renovation of the building. Renovation is not necessary, but I try to get closer to the values provided by PURES 2010.
