Abstract
Mehanske lastnosti smo testirali s Charpyjevim preizkusom udarne žilavosti in s tritočkovnim upogibnim preizkusom.

Title:Composite Material Manufacturing by 3D Printing and Vacuum Resin Infusion
Abstract:
Additive manufacturing technologies, also known as 3D printing technologies, are used to quickly create objects with complicated shapes. Vacuum infusion is a technology used in the creation of composite materials that creates underpressure in the object in order to draw the liquid thermoset in it. In this work the viability of combining the two technologies to create composite test specimens from PLA or LayFomm 60 made by Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology and reinforced with epoxy resin that is applied with the process of vacuum infusion is explored. Mechanical properties of the materials were tested with Charpy impact test and with three-point bend test. Results were compared with the reference test specimens made from PLA with 50% and 100% infill densities. Composite material made from PLA and epoxy resin had higher tensile strength in three-point bemd test than PLA with 50% infll density and was on par with PLA with 100% infill density. Charpy test has shown the composite material has impact strength that is lower than the one from PLA with 100% infill density and higher than PLA with 50% infill density. Tensile strength of specimens made from LayFomm 60 and epoxy resin was low due to the bad impregnation of the material with epoxy resin.
