Wearables and smart devices are becoming more and more popular, both in private life and in the field of work. The latter is a trend especially abroad. The main goal and purpose of the master's thesis is to analyze the opportunities and limitations of the implementation of the use of wearable devices at workplaces. The purpose of the research is to determine if and to what extent employers and employees in Slovenia are aware of the existence, functions and possibilities of using wearable devices in workplaces, and their views on the adoption of this technology. We used a qualitative method of research, since we perform semi-structured or an in-depth interviews with both employers and employees from different sectors of work. We used thematic inductive analysis, that showed us that employees and employers are inclined to use wearable devices, as long as technology influences the promotion of a more active, healthier life and helps to increase productivity at work. In case that employers interfere with workers' rights and privacy in the context of promoting better wellbeing and higher productivity, employees strongly reject wearable technology.
