Abstract
Podatke in fotografije oseb smo pridobili iz osebnih arhivov članov družine, iz ustnega izročila iz javnih arhivov in matičnih uradov. Analogne fotografije smo digitalizirali in obdelali v programu Adobe Photoshop. V programskem okolju Adobe Illustrator smo zasnovali mrežo drevesa.

Title:Collection of data and visualisation of the Robič familiy tree
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis was to collect the family data of the Robič family in an analogous and digital form and to process and graphically present them in the form of a family tree. The theoretical part presents the science of genealogy, its history, tools for visualizing genealogical data, a database of genealogical data, and the possibility of producing family trees in Slovenia and abroad. The results are divided into two parts. The first part presents the analysis of three online collections of family data that enable the creation of a family tree: Ancestry, MyHeritage, and FindmyPast. We compared the properties of the three interfaces in terms of appearance, functionality, graphics presentation, and print options. The second part focuses on the production of one's own product – the family tree of Robič family. Personal data and photographs were obtained from personal archives of family members, from oral tradition, from public archives, and from home offices. Analog photos were digitized and processed in the Adobe Photoshop. In the Adobe Illustrator program environment, we have designed a network of our tree. With the manual input of text and graphic elements, we created a unique family tree that contains all the collected data (name, surname, year of birth and death, photograph) for 211 people, of which 103 were women and 108 men. The product was printed in a high-quality format with high-quality photo paper. In addition, we tried to answer the question whether the creation of a unique tree for an average user is better than the use of web solutions described in the first part. We realized that the main disadvantage of online collections of family data is the lack of data for Slovenian families. However, the use of web interfaces for data visualization would be more effective and faster than using Adobe's program environments. Our way of working has made it possible to collect the necessary data more efficiently and to create a unique family tree with free formatting without restrictions.
