Mitološki elementi v Harryju Potterju : diplomsko delo

Namen dela je prepoznati mitološke elemente v seriji knjig Harry Potter ter jih analizirati v okviru njihovih mitoloških enačic. Najprej na podlagi prve knjige predstavi arhetip junaka in njegovo potovanje po teoriji Josepha Campbella, nato pa se osredotoči na like iz različnih mitologij in njihovo povezavo z liki Harryja Potterja. Nadalje se delo osredotoči na nekatera mitološka bitja ter njihov pomen, nazadnje pa se dotakne še nekaterih predmetov z mitološkim izvorom.

Abstract

This diploma thesis tries to recognise mythological elements in the Harry Potter book series and analyse them in regard to their mythological counterparts. Firstly, the thesis presents Joseph Campbell's archetypal hero and his journey based on the analysis of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It then focuses on mythological characters and their connection to Rowling's' counterparts. The last part focuses on mythological beings and their significance, as well as some objects stemming from a mythological source.
