The main thesis of this diploma is the comparison of Antigone, written by three different authors: Sophocles, Smole and Jovanović. I dedicated the emphasis on Antigone written by Smole and Jovanović, since they represent two Slovenian works. I presented the myth of Antigone and the main drama characters, I analysed the content of all three works. I highlighted the essential novelties, as well as similarities and differences by the slovenian authors in relation to antique myth and to work Antigone by Sophocles. I tried to answer the question, whether Antigone by Smole suffice the criteria of poetic drama. I focused on the changes seen on the characters, especially the ones on Antigone, Kreon and Ismena, as well as on two important events: the absence of Antigone presented by Smole and Antigona's search of Polineik corpse.
