The thesis Film Adaptations of Slaughterhouse Five And Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut jr. discusses in its introductory part the life of the German-born American writer, his writings, and their reception among Slovene audiences. The central part comprises firstly the methodologic basis for the analysis of film adaptations of literary works, and secondly the comparison of the film adaptations Slaughterhouse Five (1972) and Mother Night (1996), based on the eponymous sources Slaughterhouse Five (1969, translated to Slovene in 1980), and Mother Night (1961, translated to Slovene in 2007).
