Abstract
Vpletenost motiva metamorfoze v književna dela je zagotovo pogojena z njegovo vseprisotnostjo v svetu, povezanostjo s človekovim vsakdanom in vsemi njegovimi razsežnostmi.

Abstract:
Presence of the motif of metamorphosis in works of literature is certainly conditional on its presence in every part of the world, conected with man's everyday life and all of his extensions. Questions which appear during our consideration most of all concern causes and consequences of transformation and different ways of its apperance. What is more this dissertation includes the areas where metamorphosis take place and how are those areas causally-consequentially interwoven. Chosen literary works will provide me a wide array of various transformations that will still be limited due to the fact of assignment's shortness. The generalised classification which will be great help in effort to understand the history, reception and creativity conected to our head motif during the centuries of literary art will be based on discovered causes, consequences, intensions and levels of metamorphosis. It would seem the role of metamorphosis has spread throughout the genre's variaty and under the influence of eras from something unrealistic and naive to the main element of cognition.
