Abstract
Stališča učiteljev gospodinjstva pomembno vplivajo na usvajanje znanj in veščin pri gospodinjskem izobraževanju. Pomembno je, da se vsebine gospodinjskega izobraževanja prilagajajo potrebam posameznika in družbe, kar pomembno vpliva na kakovost življenja oseb, ki so vključene v gospodinjsko izobraževanje. Namen magistrskega dela je bil ugotoviti, kakšna so stališča učiteljev o pomenu usvajanja znanj in veščin s področja gospodinjskega izobraževanja v devetletni osnovni šoli. Podatki so bili zbrani z metodo fokusnega intervjuja, ki zajema kvalitativno področje raziskovanja. V fokusni skupini so sodelovali učitelji, ki poučujejo gospodinjstvo in predmete, v katere so vključene vsebine gospodinjstva. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da imajo učitelji do predmeta gospodinjstvo pozitiven odnos, saj so mnenja, da so znanja in veščine, ki jih učenci usvojijo pri gospodinjskem izobraževanju, pomembne za kakovost življenja učencev v času šolanja in v kasnejših obdobjih življenja. Pomembno se jim zdi, da pri gospodinjstvu učenci razvijajo socialne veščine in znanja s področja prehrane, tekstilstva, urejanja doma, ekonomike, potrošniške vzgoje, trajnostne potrošnje in zdravja. Glede na predloge učiteljev se kaže potreba, da bi posodobili veljavni učni načrt gospodinjstva in predmet ustrezneje umestili v predmetnik osnovne šole.

Title:
Teachers attitudes towards the importance of acquiring knowledge and skills in home economics
Abstract:
Teachers views are important factors for gaining skills in home economics education. It is important to adjust the skills to fit the needs of an individual as well as the society. This influences the quality of life of teachers. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to establish teachers viewpoints about the meaning of knowledge and skills in home economics during the pupil’s primary education. This focus group included the teachers which are already teaching home economics and related topics. It is thought, and the results analysis also showed teachers having positive relationship between knowledge and skills and the quality of life of the pupils during their schooling and in later stages of life. Teachers believe it is important for pupils to develop social skills, nutrition education, home textile production, economics, consumer education, sustainability, and health education. Based on teachers recommendations, there is a need to update home economics curriculum to appropriately include the home economics subject in the primary schools.
