Abstract
Pri izboru smo si pomagali z Malo floro Slovenije (Martinčič idr., 2007), s Pravilnikom o razvrstitvi zdravilnih rastlin (2008), Pravilnikom o uvrstitvi ogroženih rastlinskih in živalskih vrst v rdeči seznam (2002) in z Uredbo o zavarovanih prosto živečih rastlinskih vrstah (2004).

Title:
Analysis of species composition of plants in domestic herbal liqueurs
Abstract:
Herbal liqueurs are beverages with at least 15 vol. % of alcohol and 100 g of sugar per liter. The base for these beverages are medicinal plants. Many people nowadays produce herbal liqueurs for family use or as a gift. Recipes are normally found online where the data is not always correct or trustworthy. As part of this research we wanted to find out which plant species included in the recipes are appropriate to be used in making herbal liqueurs at home. Three criteria had to be met: plants have to grow in Slovenia, they are safe for the intended use and are not endangered or protected. Moreover we have evaluated bloom time, the site and the useful part. 13 recipes obtained online have been reviewed and the plant composition has been determined with the use of Martinčič et al. (2007), Classification of medicinal plants (2008), Red list of threatened species (2002) and Protected wild species (2004). We have learnt that the plant species included in recipes for family use herbal liqueurs belong to 62 genera. Some of them originate from abroad, but they all grow in Slovenia. 14 plant species are not very safe for the intended use and 6 are endangered or protected.
