The purpose of this master's thesis is to create a business model of the application Plavaj in zmagaj in cooperation with the program Naučimo se plavati, which came into force with the school year 2018/19. The mentioned application and program will be under the auspices of the Odlična šola plavanja, which will be guided by the Slovenian Swimming Federation.
With the descriptive method of study, we prepared the descriptive form of swimming literacy in Slovenia. The application will be a useful tool for sports pedagogues, trainers and parents in teaching different levels of swimming. It will be divided into three levels and two sub-levels. Through the application on the smartphone, which will be made in a gaming form, users will learn which important factors will have a key influence in improving the ability to swim. From the point of view of the business model we examined the current market, competition and the possibility of expanding the application in the future with the SWOT analysis and the Porter model of five forces. The app will be accessible to all smartphone users. After analysing the market and identifying the target group that could potentially use the application, we found out that the application will focus in the initial phase on pupils of elementary and secondary schools and members of swimming clubs or societies. By incorporating various aspects, we came to the conclusions which can make the application useful and successful.
