Abstract
Različne statistične metode lahko uspešno uporabimo kot pomoč pri interpretaciji geokemičnih podatkov v petrologiji. Omogočajo boljši pregled nad velikim številom spremenljivk in vzorcev ter lahko potrjujejo ali spodbijajo izsledke ostalih mineraloških in petroloških raziskav. Geokemične podatke pohorskih magmatskih kamnin sem interpretirala s pomočjo korelacijskihkoeficientov, testa t, analize variance in clusterske analize. Korelacijske koeficiente je mogoče povezati z diferenciacijo magme. Glede na rezultate testa t in clusterske analize se od vseh drugih upoštevanih magmatskih kamnin zanesljivo ločijo le malchiti. Nehomogena mineralna in s tem kemična sestava granodiorita, potrjena z analizo variance, otežkoča ugotavljanje trendov znotraj masiva.

Title:Use of statistical methods in interpretation of data on geochemical composition of Pohorje igneous rocks
Abstract:
Geochemical data in petrology can be successfully interpreted by using variousstatistical techniques. They can be used to process a large number of data more efficiently and to verify the results of mineralogical petrological examinations. In the case of Pohorje igneous rocks linear correlation , t-tests, analysis of variance and cluster analysis were applied. Correlation coefficients are connected with magma differentiation process. Cluster analysiand t-tests confirmed that only malchites differ geochemically from other considered igneous rocks. With analysis of variance inhomogeneity of granodiorite was established, which hindered to establish compositional trendsinside the massif.
