Abstract
V družbi zato obstajajo negativni spolni stereotipi in negativni stereotipi o gejih.

Title:Reactions of older persons to performance art videos on sociocultural gender norm violation
Abstract:
We live in the society where a simplistic division of sexes to female and male sex is widespread. This division is connected with certain sociocultural gender norms. It is expected from the males to behave and dress in a certain manner which is distinguished from the behavior and dressing which is expected from the females. Even though the behavior and the manner of dressing is a sociocultural construct, people often see the behavior and the manner of dressing which we attribute to a certain gender too seriously. Therefore, there are negative gender stereotypes and negative stereotypes about gays in the society. Some people are prejudicial to different people and some are also homophobic. I performed semi-structured interviews with older persons. Every interviewee watched some of my performance art videos which I publish on my Instagram profile. In these videos, I express myself freely, with no limitations by sociocultural gender norms. By my research, I wished to ascertain what the reactions of older persons are on the performance art videos on sociocultural gender norm violation and what their argumentation is. When analyzing the responses of the interviewees, I was attentive about the prejudice of gays, sexual stereotypes and stereotypes of gays, and homophobia. I ascertained that the latter were present in some of the responses of the interviewees. I attribute the reason for that to heteronormativity.

Keywords:sociocultural gender norms, prejudice, stereotypes, heteronormativity, performance art videos.
