Abstract
Z uporabo optične mikroskopije in rentgenske praškovne difrakcije smo določili mineraloško sestavo. Kemično sestavo smo določili z rentgensko flourescenčno spektroskopijo, pridobljene podatke pa statistično obdelali. Vzorce lončenine smo na podlagi kombinacije rezultatov vseh metod razdelili v dve skupini. V prvo skupino sodita dva vzorca, kjer prevladuje kremen.

Title:
Mineralogical, petrological and geochemical analysis of Nelolithic pottery from Mala Triglavca and Trhlovca
Abstract:
In diploma we determined mineral and geochemical characteristics of pottery from two rock-shelters in the area of Divaški Kras from archaeological sites of Mala Triglavca and Trhlovca. We were investigating 8 samples of Neolithic pottery which is culturally defined as Vlaška group. Firstly, we examined fragments of the pottery and described them on macroscopic level where we discovered that some colored bands were created by secondary changes, mostly because of weathering (samples Vz4 and Vz7). We determined mineralogical composition with the use of optical microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction. Chemical composition was detected with X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and the obtained data was statistically analysed. Pottery samples were divided into two main group. Two samples with predominant quartz belong to the first group. Muscovite, calcite, plagioclase, hematite aggregates, and clay cores are present as well. Samples with coarse-grained calcite added to the clay represent the second group. The pottery of this group is also composed of quartz, muscovite, plagioclase, and hematite aggregates, as well as clay cores. Chemical composition of the samples is quite unified and shows similar source material. Most differences between pottery samples origin from the preparation technique. Clay used for production was of illite composition. The temperature at which ceramics samples were fired is between 600-700oC
