Abstract
Zaradi vsakoletnega soočanja s primanjkljaji pitne vode na Obali, je na tem območju nujen radikalen ukrep, s katerim bi lahko uporabnikom zagotovili potrebne količine pitne vode tudi v kritičnih, sušnih obdobjih. Ena od možnih rešitev je uporaba alternativnega vira pitne vode – razsoljevanje morske vode. V prvem delu diplomske naloge so opisani možni termični in membranski postopki razsoljevanja, s poudarkom na reverzni osmozi, v drugem delu pa so prikazane analize o sami porabi pitne vode na Obali v desetletnem obdobju od 2006 do 2016. Na podlagi tega so opisane še tri simulacije vključevanja razsoljevalne naprave v sistem Rižanskega vodovoda Koper in v kolikšni meri lahko s tovrstnim postopkom nadomestimo odkupe pitne vode in hkrati pokrijemo večje konice porabe.

Title:Technologies for the preparation of drinking water by desalination as a supplementary water supply in the coastal region : graduation thesis
Abstract:
Due to the annual shortages of drinking water, mainly in dry periods, the coastal region needs effective measures to provide the public with the necessary quantities of drinking water. The most promising among the variety of solutions is the use of an alternative source of drinking water – the desalination of seawater. Possible desalination methods with emphasis on the membrane process reverse osmosis are described in the first part of the thesis. The second part holds the analysis of water consumption in the coastal region within the ten year period from 2006 to 2016. Furthermore, three short simulations were made in order to test if the desalination plant can effectively replace at least one back-up source of drinking water in the water system of Rižanski vodovod Koper and still cover larger quantities of water consumption.
