Abstract
Premena mora potekati postopoma, z oblikovanjem manjših vrzeli.

Title:Regeneration dynamics in pine plantations of Slovenian Krast
Abstract:
In this thesis, the density and structure of the seedlings in the Austrian pine plantations of the Karst region were analyzed. The analysis was carried out on sample plots in four stand types (closed canopy stand, open stand, edge of canopy gap and canopy gap). Within seedlings, Fraxinus ornus was prevalent species. The density of oak seedlings was the highest within the closed canopy stand. Oak up to the height of 130 cm has successfully recruited from lower to higher regeneration classes. The results also point out that the oak seedlings are under a threat of damage from being browsed by herbivorous game. The proportion of the damaged oak individuals rises with the height classes increasing. The lower densities of oak are affected by the grass Sesleria autumnalis while the impact of the Rubus species was not confirmed. For growth in higher height classes in the closed canopy stands, oak requires a gradual addition of light. In more opened stands, protection against the game is also important. The conversion must be carried out gradually by creating smaller canopy gaps.
