Elaborating this master thesis I drew from my paintings, interests and aspects, which have
had accumulated in the last few years. Through the chapters I have tried to explain and
deeply engage with different viewpoints that relate to the visual and conceptual aspects of
my work. The focuses of writing are two motifs that I have been occupied with for a while –
landscape and contemporary house. Landscape interested me above all from the
perspective of its evolution, comprehension and idealisation in painting, in architecture
meanwhile I was, beside history, focused on human relations with personal spaces as on the
effect that they have on us. In the last part of this thesis I unite the two aforementioned
disjoint subjects by analysing my paintings and present my subjective view of the discussed
topics and their role both in my creative process and completed works of art.
