Abstract
V tem diplomskem delu sem razloţil, kaj ilustracija sploh je, in opisal zvrsti ilustracij, na katere se moje delo nanaša. Podrobneje sem se lotil opisa konceptne ilustracije, ki predstavlja praktični del mojega dela. Pokazal sem primere in predstavil različne avtorje, ki so se povzpeli na vrh igralske industrije s svojimi ilustratorskimi deli. Zaţeleno oziroma najbolj popularno medijsko sredstvo pri konceptni ilustraciji je računalnik. Večina del v konceptni ilustraciji se izvaja digitalno v programu Photoshop, zato sem tudi opisal, kakšne vrste digitalne ilustracije poznamo in kakšne lastnosti imajo. Za tem je prišel na vrsto raziskovalni del, v katerem sem na kratko predstavil srednji vek, kako se je razvila viteška kultura, nato sem posamezne vrste oklepov tudi opisal in naredil kratek pregled. Na koncu pa je prišel na vrsto opis praktičnega dela, kjer sem navedel, kako sem začel delo in idejno zasnovo. Popeljal sem vas čez podroben postopek izdelave oklepa oziroma viteza v programu Photoshop ter zapisal, kako sem oblikoval osnovno karto zanj. Opisal sem tudi, na kakšen način sem naredil končno key art ilustracijo in oblikoval zgibanko, na kateri se bo ta tudi pojavila.

Title:Armor redesign - concept art
Abstract:
In my thesis I will explain what illustration even is and talk about different types of illustration that relate to my work. I'll go more in-depth describing concept art, which my practical work consists the most of. You will be shown different examples and also authors, which have, in the gaming industry, worked their way up the ladder with their work. The preffered, or rather, the most popular medium in concept art, is a computer. Most works in concept art are made digitally in the program Photoshop, that is why I will also brief you on the types of digital illustrations and their properties. After that comes the research part of my work. I will take you on a short trip through the middle ages, where you will get to know how the knight culture came to be. Then, you will read about the different types of armor they used and see their overveiw. At the end comes the description of my practical work. Here you will find more about how I started with my work and came up with the initial design. I will take you through my work process of creating a suit of armor, or rather, a knight, in the program Photoshop and how I designed the basic card on which these knights will be displayed on. You will also see how I made the final key art illustration and the layout for the pamphlet on which this illustration will also be shown.
