Abstract
Umetnik mora imeti sebi lastno likovno mišljenje, poznati mora materiale in obvladovati mora razne postopke in tehnike.

Title:
Phenomenalisation of drawing in graphic art
Abstract:
Under the concept of printmaking we these days recognise unlimited technical variations. Starting with the art of classical printmaking up to the techniques employed by the new medias. In the catalogue entitled ‘password: printmaking’; Breda Škrjanec in her text suggests that the main point of printmaking is the possibility of reproduction such as current technology allows and in almost infinite repetitions. However the process of producing hand crafted and printed graphic works allows and nurtures original artistic expression and each artist’s narrative. This is what I wish to put my name to. Experience like that refines artists observation, precision and the necessary estetic values. The artist must have his own creative stream and he must be completely familiar with the material he uses and is required to master various techniques and print processes. The techniques employed do not guarantee an original result and the same thing goes for print reproduction. These days the meaning of term graphic print encompasses various printing methods and reproductions. Uneducated notion that printmaking has already hit the limits of its possibilities and unable or unwilling to follow technological advances hinders its development. The artist themselves add to confusion by signing their various prints as an original. These activity causes confusion particularly among the collectors whose increased interest centres on finding the original prints. Following the theoretical work is a chapter dedicated to my own print work and to the artists who influenced and inspired me.
