The aim of the thesis is to create a conceptual design of identity and packaging for aged meat based on our domestic activity, i.e. breeding calves.
The analytical part of the thesis includes a description of the history of ageing meat, an explanation of the ageing processes, a way of labelling the product, an analysis of the existing providers through the elements necessary for building the brand identity and an analysis of the packaging on Slovenian and foreign markets. A part of the analysis is dedicated to the selected vacuum packaging technology, which enables many design solutions.
In the thesis, where I deal with packaging design, a number of working models with vacuum packaging have been tested, which led to the solution. My chosen model has the ability not only to store the product, but also to carry multiple products at the same time and it is also possible to scroll between them, which was made possible by adding a piece of hard paper that also serves for communication about the product.
I have designed the final result of the conceptual design of identity and packaging for aged meat so that it is possible for the product to be further refined, upgraded and realized.
