Abstract
V preteklih letih so se kriogene tehnologije uveljavile v odrezovalnih procesih, saj so se v določenih primerih pokazale kot bolj učinkovite v primerjavi s konvencionalnimi metodami, vendar so te tehnologije še dokaj neraziskane. To delo se ukvarja s pregledom znanstvene literature na področju kriogenega struženja z uporabo kapljevitega ogljikovega dioksida, z namenom celovite predstavitve obravnavanega področja. Pregled literature pokaže, da se trend raziskav na tem področju povečuje ter, da so jekla trenutno najbolj raziskana skupina materialov. Iz znanstvene literature sta raziskana tudi hladilni in mazalni efekt ogljikovega dioksida. Izkaže se, da ogljikov dioksid ima hladilni efekt, ta pa je večji kot pri večini konvencionalnih metod in je odvisen od parametrov procesa. Ogljikov dioksid ne izkazuje mazalnega efekta.

Title:Evaluation of the cooling and lubrication effect of CO2 and review of scientific literature of cryogenic turning with liquid CO2
Abstract:
In recent years cryogenic technologies have established themselves in cutting processes, as they have shown to be more efficient than convetional methods in some cases, but these technologies are still fairly unresearched. This work reviews scientific literature of cryogenic turning with the use of liquid carbon dioxide, with the purpose of giving a comprehensive display of the reviewed field. The literature review shows, that the trend of scientific research in this field is increasing and that steel is the most commonly researched material group currently. This work also reviews the cooling and lubrication effect of carbon dioxide. The review shows, that carbon dioxide does indeed have a cooling effect, while the effect is larger than that of most conventional methods, it is dependant on the process parameters. Carbon dioxide does not show any sign of having a lubrication effect.
