Abstract

Title:The impact of the die clearance on the products burr
Abstract:
In this thesis we have discussed the problem of the formation of a burr on the edges of the products during the cutting process, which was largely dependent on the choice of die clearance. First we touched the theoretical bases, related to the whole cutting process (the knowledge of which was crucial for the development of the task), followed by the experimental part, the dimensional control of the suitability of the actual die clearance in the tool and the comparison to the theoretically determined. In the last step, we have produced a few samples for two different die clearance values and measured the height of the resulting burr. The results were evaluated and interpreted and we found out, which of the die clearance values gives us better approximations to the desired values. We also considered, what can be done in the future, to make the situation on the product even more optimal.
