Abstract
Kakršnakoli raziskava na področju 3D-tiska je v današnjem času še kako pomembna. Tehnologija, ki z razvojem strmo napreduje in napoveduje prodor v sodobno industrijo, je glavna tema diplomskega dela. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene tehnologije 3D-tiska, ki se dandanes že uporabljajo za prototipiranje in izdelovanje okvirjev očal. Prav tako je predstavljen tudi napredek v razvoju tiska leč za očala. K omenjenemu pa prav tako spada pomembna faza, in sicer 3D-modeliranje. Z modeliranjem gradimo in oblikujemo našo zamisel do tolikšne natančnosti, da na koncu dosežemo fizični bodisi konceptualni bodisi funkcionalni prototip, in je pomemben korak pri celotnem procesu izdelave. Poleg opisa 3D-modeliranja ter tehnologij tiska okvirjev in leč so predstavljeni tudi konkretni primeri očal, spletnih strani in podjetij, ki služijo za lažjo predstavo opisanega. V praktičnem delu smo se v sodelovanju s podjetjem, ki je eno vodilnih na področju proizvodnje očal, in njihovimi strokovnjaki lotili izdelovanja funkcionalnega prototipa očal s 3D-tiskom, natančneje s tehnologijo Polyjet. Namen in cilj uporabe 3D-tehnologije v veliki proizvodnji je predvsem zmanjšati stroške in čas prototipiranja.

Title:Fabrication of functional prototype with 3D printing
Abstract:
Any research in the field of 3D printing is important at this time. The technology that is steadily progressing and predicting penetration into the modern industry through development is the main theme of this thesis. In the theoretical part technologies of 3D printing are presented, which are nowadays used to prototype and produce spectacle frames. The progress in development of printing lenses for spectacles is also presented. To this whole, an important stage is also 3D modeling, where we build and shape our idea to the point of precision that we achieve conceptual or functional prototype and is an important step in the entire process. Besides the description of 3D modelling, printing technologies for frames and lenses, concrete examples of eyewear, websites and companies are presented, which help us illustrate the theory. In experimental section the cooperation with the company, which is one of the leaders in the field of glasses production is presented. Together we created functional prototype with 3D printing, more precisely with Polyjet technology. The purpose and goal of using 3D technology in such large production is to reduce costs and time of prototyping.
