Abstract
Namen diplomske naloge je bil poiskati novo rešitev za obstoječe pakiranje zamrznjenega soka. Embalaža je bila izdelana za realnega naročnika in mora biti primerna ter pravilno označena za prodajo v trgovinah. Osredotočili smo se na sekundarno embalažo, ki nima neposrednega stika z živilom. Najpomembnejši dejavnik pri načrtovanju embalaže je bila termična obstojnost pakiranja. Ideja mora biti izvedljiva v praksi, cena embalaže pa primerna ceni prodajnega artikla oz. s svojo dodano vrednostjo opravičiti presežek predvidenega stroška. Zaželeno je bilo, da je embalaža vizualno privlačna, okolju prijazna. V teoretičnem delu je najprej predstavljena embalaža na splošno, opisani so za embalažo bolj in manj konvencionalni materiali, ki so znani po svoji dobri izolacijski lastnosti. Narejena je primerjava podobnih izdelkov drugih proizvajalcev na slovenskem trgu. Z analizo stroškov je določen cenovni okvir razpoložljivih sredstev za izdelavo embalaže in pakiranja produkta. Predstavljeni so podatki, ki jih mora oz. sme po zakonodaji vsebovati končno pakiranje, ki se bo pojavljalo na trgu. Opisani so certifikati in oznake, ki jih bo embalaža vsebovala. V eksperimentalnem delu s preizkusi ugotavljamo pomanjkljivosti obstoječe embalaže, ki jih je podjetje zaznavalo med dvoletno uporabo. Ugotovili smo, da embalaža svoji vsebini ne ponuja ustrezne zaščite pred izpostavljenostjo zunanji temperaturi. Podali smo nekaj idejnih rešitev za zastavljen problem, izbrali najprimernejšo rešitev in jo razvili do končnega izdelka. Izdelali smo prototip in s preizkusom preverili njegovo ustreznost. Raziskali smo možnost izdelave škatle EPS in tiska papirnatega ovitka pri nekaj slovenskih podjetjih. Predstavljen je dizajn in izdelava dizajna obstoječe škatle, prav tako logotipa podjetja. Opisali smo potek preoblikovanja obstoječe embalaže v novo, z ohranitvijo prepoznavnih vizualnih elementov. Rezultat je prototip nove sekundarne embalaže iz ekspandiranega polistirena, s potiskanim papirnatim ovitkom, ki nosi informacije o izdelku.

Title:Innovative packaging for transporting frozen fluid
Abstract:
The purpose of this diploma thesis was to find a new solution for current packaging of frozen juice. Packaging was designed for real client and therefore has to be appropriate and rightfully marked for selling in stores. We focused on secondary packaging, that has no direct contact with food. The most important factor for designing the packaging was thermal insulation of the package. The idea has to be realistic and feasible, the cost has to be appropriate regarding to the prize of sales item. It was wished to be as environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing as possible. In theoretical part in presented packaging in general and described some more or less conventional materials, that are known for good isolative properties. A comparison is made between similar products in Slovenian market. After costs analysis we set a price range of funds available for production of packaging and packing of the product. All the data that has or can legally be put on the final packaging. Certificates and symbols on final packaging are described and explained. In experimental part some experiments are made and to define shortcomings of current packaging. We find out that packaging does not offer protection from external temperature, that the product needs. Some ideas on how to fix the problem were described, the most promising of them was further discussed and developed into final shape. Prototype was designed and tested with experiment. Possibility of making EPS box and printing of paper sleeve was researched. Final form of designed packaging is shown and described along with the process of production. The process of designing the logotype and corporate identity and redesigning the labels from current packaging is explained. The end result is the prototype of new secondary packaging from EPS with printed paper labels, that carries information of the product.
