The diploma thesis deals with the field of employee development. The thesis was divided into two parts: theoretical and research work.
The theoretical part presents definitions, meanings and goals, and describes approaches to development (formal education, work experience, mutual relations and assessment of skills) and employee development activities (learning, education, training and personal development of employees). In the research part, a survey was carried out among the employees in the organization.
The purpose of the thesis was to prepare an analysis of the development of employees in the organization.
Since the diploma thesis contained the theoretical and empirical part, several research methods were used. In the theoretical part, the classification method, the comparative method, the method of description and compilation were used, which describe the theoretical basis for employee development. In the empirical part, the survey method was used. The state of employee development was checked by a quantitative survey. Data processing was done using Microsoft Excel. The presentation of the results is thus presented in a tabular and graphical way, with the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation for the evaluation scales.
Based on the research, I find that the field of employee development in the organization is regulated and that the employees are satisfied with it. However, some people want improvements in all development approaches of employees. They also want improvements in personal development, training, education and learning. Therefore, I propose to the organization to further improve the field of employee development.
