Abstract
Tehnologije 3D-tiska postajajo vse bolj razširjene v maketarstvu, ker omogočajo izdelavo natančnejših in kompleksnejših oblik kot konvencionalni postopki. V diplomskem delu je poudarek na arhitekturnih maketah, saj je bila izdelana maketa Ravbarjevega stolpa, ki je ostanek srednjeveškega gradu v Planini pri Postojni. V bližnji prihodnosti je v načrtu obnova in ureditev predvsem notranjosti v razstavne in muzejske prostore. Maketa Ravbarjevega stolpa bi lahko bila ena izmed eksponatov, ki bi jih krasila, služi pa lahko tudi za lažjo predstavo in proučevanje te arhitekturne kreacije preteklosti. Poleg izdelave makete je bil cilj tega dela tudi dokaz, da je mogoče z odprtokodnim programom Blender zmodelirati maketo z dovolj veliko mero natančnosti in jo pripraviti za tisk. Natisnjena je bila s stereolitografijo (SLA) in modeliranjem s spajanjem slojev (FDM) v merilu 1 : 250. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljeno ozadje izdelovanja maket, podana je kratka zgodovina Ravbarjevega stolpa kot odgovor, zakaj je smiselno izdelati maketo, opisana sta program Blender z orodjem za pripravo za tisk in SLA ter FDM tehnologija 3D-tiska. V eksperimentalnem delu je podrobneje prikazano modeliranje in opis priprave modelov za tisk. Zaključni del predstavljajo opisi rezultata tiska, obdelave maket do končnega videza in primerjave med maketama.

Title:Production of the Ravbar Tower 3D Printed Scale Model
Abstract:
3D printing technologies are becoming more common in model making as they enable fabrication of more precise and complex forms than conventional approaches. In this thesis the emphasis is placed on architectural models as a model of the Ravbar Tower was made which represents the remains of a medieval castle in Planina near Postojna. There is a plan to reconstruct mostly interior for repurposing it to museum and exhibition spaces. The model of the Ravbar Tower could be one of the exhibits and it could also serve as an easier representation and study tool of this architectural creation of the past. In addition to creating the scale model, the goal of this thesis was to demonstrate that open source software like Blender can be used for modelling with a high degree of accuracy and prepare the model for 3D printing. The scale model was printed with stereolithography (SLA) and fused deposition modelling (FDM) in 1 : 250 scale. In the theoretical part the background of model making is presented, a brief history of the Ravbar Tower is given as an explanation why it makes sense to create such a model, Blender software is described with the 3D Print Tool add-on, SLA and FDM technology are explained for broader perspective. In the experimental part a detailed description of modelling and print preparation is provided. In closing, one can find the results of the printing, post-processing and a comparison between the two scale models.
