Abstract

Abstract:
Slovenia is, like in most modern states, a diverse, multicultural society. The 1970s were a particularly dynamic time for Slovenia's ethnic composition. As a result of economic needs and a consequential increase in the living standard, immigration of people from then-existing Yugoslavia's other republic sheightened. This master's thesis deals with the use and the attitudes towards the Slovenian and Bosnian languages as well as the preservation of native culture among Muslim immigrants from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the irdescendants who live in Velenje.
