Employee engagement is a tool to help the organizations to become more competitive and gain a competitive edge in the labour market. With our master thesis we analysed the factors of engagement of employees in notary offices. The main purposed of the thesis, was to develope and design an appropriate measuring instrument, through which we researched and found the factors, that influence the engagement of employees in notary offices. The aim of the study was to investigated and analyzed the scope of the concept of employee involvement in notary offices and to identifyed the factors that influence the engagement of employees. With the set hypotheses we wanted to found out, whether the factors of motivation and basic needs had a statistically significant influence on the three dimensions of engagement: vigor, dedication and absorbtion. Nonetheless we also wanted to find, which gender is more engaged and in which notary offices-in Slovenia or in France.
For the data analysis and the verification of hypotheses, we used factor and regression analysis. Even though we confirmed the initial dimensions of engagement, we can not say the same about it's four factors. With factor analysis, we gained new dimensions of engagement: dedication, absorption and vigor, and new engagement factors: motivation, leadership and basic needs. With the linear regression analysis, we determined the influence of the factors of engagement on the engagement of employees in notary offices. The results of the analysis showed that the motivation and management factor is influenced by all three dimensions of employee engagement, while the elementary need factor only affects the dimension of engagement. With t-test our findings are, that in notarys' offices women are more engaged in their work, namely in the dimensions of dedication and absorbtion. It turned out that employees in notary offices in France are more engaged as employees of notary offices in Slovenia. With our research we helped notary offices to discover the key to the engagement of employees, because we found that engagement factors: motivation, leadership and basic needs impact to employee engagement in notary officies.
