Abstract
S tehniko skupinskega postopnega gospodarjenja in sproščeno tehniko gojenja gozdov, bi delež rdečega bora postopoma zmanjšali in pospešili druge drevesne vrste. Take ukrepe smo predhodno ustrezno utemeljili s potrditvami hipotez.

Title:Development and cultivation of Red pine (Pinus sylvestris) stands in the Senožeti and Volnjak area
Abstract:
The master's thesis presents an analysis of the current situation in gaps identified on comparable sites within mature red pine stands. We evaluated the growth of young trees in gaps which were of natural or anthropogenic origin. The measurements were made on 9 m2 plots on different locations. One of the main findings was that light (measured with the densitometer) is a very important factor for growth. The height increment in the center of gaps was 6 cm, while it was only 3 cm in plots under the canopy. We have shown that the density of the young trees is high in the gaps, almost 65000 trees/ha, which is a sufficient stocking density for management of red pine stands.
