The purpose of the thesis was to produce a short video that would reflect a happy family life, and would serve as a beautiful memory for the family.
In the theoretical part of the thesis the development of the photography is first described, and, consequently, the development of the video. Nowadays, we can show video on smartphones, project them at home, show them on TV, etc. All aspects of video production are described, from synopsis, record books, pre-production to post-production and editing. At the end of theoretical part, what is a family video is, and what we need to focus on when recording it, is presented.
In the experimental part, the whole process of video production is presented, including - planing, recording and all intermediate steps till final product (production, post-production, coarse editing, fine-tuning, etc.). The location of the recording, synopsis, script and the recording book are also presented. This chapter is also including the presention of all the equipment used (camera, lens, gymbal, sound recorder ...) in making of this video. The search for suitable music and the speech recording process (that was included in the video) is also described in this chapter. At the end of this thesis is shortly described importance of color correction and software used in making of this video.
The final product is a family video on the subject of the newborn. In the conclusions are presented the results of the survey, which determined the differences between the popularity of photo and video memories among young parents.
